We woke up, packed and ready to move to the other hotel. We got dressed, checked-out at Cabana Bay. We walked across the street and inside Sapphire Falls. When I first walked into the room I was like wow, this place is so beautiful. First thing I notice on how quiet it was, and not crowded. The line to Sapphire Falls was empty. I was next person in line, didn't even have to wait. I checked ourselves into our new room and the guy said to me with a smile, "We just wanted to inform you that we upgraded your room to a complimentary suite." My eyes widened and said, "A suite? Ooh nice!" He said, "Just so we know we appreciate and value you as a guest here with us." I said, "Wow! Thank you so much, we are really honored." He hands me our room keys and while pointing, telling us what direction our room is at then said, "Enjoy your stay." And we walked towards the direction where our room was at. I opened the door and just looking at it for a second there, I felt like at that moment I was some kind of successful business person who literally made enough money to afford a room like that. They had not just one bathroom but two. A kitchen with a giant fridge, huge living room with a big flat screen TV, dining room table, large bedroom with another flat screen TV and our hotel door wasn't one door, it was two! It was so cool!
We stayed in our room for a few hours then we walked to the park, we chose Universal Studios again. We figured I'd have much better luck today then I did on Saturday. We got to Universal Studios and I needed to use the bathroom again. While I asked Ben, "Where is the--" I look to my left and then said, "Never mind, I remember now." Ben said, "Bathroom?" I said with a sigh, "Yes, how'd you know?" He said, "Because I just saw that you stopped and you looked at the bathroom." I said, "Right, well hold that thought. I'll be right back." I walk into the bathroom and throw up again but this time, it was red. I was worried. I washed my hands and went back outside to see Ben. I told Ben, "I think I threw up blood this time." Ben said with fear in his eyes, "That's it, we're going to First Aid right now. I don't care what you say at this point. You are going to go get seen." I said calmly, "Okay, I'll follow you." He said with shock, "That's it? You are not fighting me on this?" I said with ease, "No, I am sick of being sick. I just want to get better." He said, "Okay well we are almost here. You want me to go in the room with you?" I said with a smile, "Yes but only if you can. I don't know if they will let you though." We walked into First Aid Dept. and first thing I notice on how quiet it is and the EMTs are giving me strange looks and then one shouts at me, "Can We Help You?!" I said, "Yes, I am here to see if anyone can help me. I got food poisoning at Vivo Italian Kitchen on Friday night and I can't keep anything down since that night I figured someone would be able to help me more." The EMT looked at me and said, "Yeah, I doubt that but we'll have a look anyway. Come around to the side over here." In my mind at that time I was saying to myself, "Are they even certified to treat me? Am I wasting my time here? Before I went to meet the EMT on the side I asked him if Ben could go in with me and he said, "No, sorry. Just you." I told Ben, "I don't know about this." Ben said with a smile, "You'll be fine, I'll be right here."
I walk towards the EMT and then bunch of other EMTS are walking by. He told me to sit down and I did. Then told me to tell him what happened and so I was explaining to him the story and he isn't even looking at me. I look the direction he's looking at and there is a guy in a wheel chair that came in and waving. The EMT waved back and then said, "Listen, I will be right back." He walked over to the guy in the wheelchair with my clipboard of paper and then another EMT shows up next to him, he gives the clipboard to the other EMT and shakes his hand. Then the new EMT guy starts walking towards me. He sat down on the chair and said, "I just read your chart and it shows here you are from New Hampshire, is that correct?" I said with confusion, "Yes, but what does that have to do with me having food poisoning?" He said, "Because your body isn't used to the Florida air so it's not food poisoning. But here I'll tell you what, this is what I can do for you." He stood up, got a bag with Pepto-Bismol tablets, cough drops and Tylenol, with Imodium packet. He handed it to me, sat back down and said, "This should be able to help you." I said firmly, "So, you're giving this to me because why? I mean if you say this is because I'm not used to the Florida air here then what are you doing giving me this?" EMT looked at me and said calmly, "It is for your throat to keep it from drying out. You know but if you want I'll be happy to take you over by ambulance myself." I said to him with shock, "No, thank you." EMT said, "Alright, great. So if that is everything then well where you came from is where the exit is at. Have a good day" then he left.
I walked out of the room and told Ben firmly with a whisper, "Let's go" and he gets up off of the chair and we both walk out of there. While we are still walking, I said to Ben, "OMG I nearly lost it. My lip hurts so much from biting it because I did not want to lose it with those dumbasses!" Ben said with concern look on his face, "What happened in there?" I said, "Going in there was such a big waste of time. He gave me a bag of stuff none of which what I actually need is in this bag. He told me I am not used to Florida air here and need to keep my throat moist and from drying up. He better be lucky that I didn't even try to punch him in the jaw or throw up in his face because I had so much anger that I wanted to. They don't believe that I got food poisoning from their restaurant. They think it's me." I let out a hard laugh and clenched my fists. Ben said, "Yeah I got a strange vibe from that place even when you went out back, this other guy was giving me a weird look." I said calmly, "I'm sorry, I can't believe they wouldn't let you in the room with me. You do know after he said everything about the Florida air and not from here that then he offered to get me an ambulance? Which I am sure they would have billed me for." Ben dropped his jaw and said, "They did that?" I said while nod my head, "Yep, I can't believe the treatment I just dealt with. I am really mad and hurt, and still very sick. I need to find another bathroom." Ben said while putting his hands on my shoulders, "Okay let's get you to a bathroom."
I stopped and then walked towards the bathroom then walked into the bathroom stall, threw up, washed my hands, and went back outside. Ben asked me while we stood in front of the Transformers ride, "Is it okay if I can go on the Transformers ride?" I said with a smile, "Yes, you can. I'll just chill in the gift shop waiting for you to return." Ben smiled back at me and said, "Okay I'll be back soon." I saw a bumblebee toy and was thinking if I wanted to grab it or not. I procrastinated for a few minutes then walked back to that section and decided to buy it. A few minutes later, Ben walked in and said, "That was fun, I hope next time you'll be able to join me." I look at him and said, "Maybe." He said, "Are you buying something?" I said with a smile, "Yes, I found this toy for my nephew, Maxx. Ben said with a smile, "Of course you did." I hand my card to the cashier and she said, "Is that all today?" with a smile. I said, "Yes thank you" and smiled back. She hands me the bag and said, "Have a nice day!"
We left the gift shop and Ben said, "Where do you want to go next?" I said, "I am still not feeling good, do you mind if we go back to the hotel?" Ben said with concern, "Are you going to be okay? Are you sure you want to go back so soon?" I said calmly, "Yes, I am gonna be okay I think. I honestly don't want to but I don't feel good to continue walking." Ben shrugged his shoulders and said, "Okay, let's go back then." We walked to the boat dock, boarded the boat and then got off of the dock and walked back to the hotel. I opened the door to our room and we walked inside. I stopped for a second and said, "Ben, I just realized we have dinner reservations." Ben sighed and said, "We do?" I said, "Yes, I made them thinking I'd feel better." Ben said, "Okay, let's go get ready then so we can go." I got dressed and we head back out of the hotel. We got to the main entrance and one of the valet employees said to me, "Excuse me Ma'am do you need a ride? We offer a free ride for you and just go to front desk and we will come pick you up." I smiled at him and said, "Oh wow, thank you so much! Yes we are heading to Mama Della's restaurant inside the Portofino Bay hotel." He smiled and said, "Okay just remember to go to front desk and they will call us and will pick you guys up. He opened the door for us and we scoot in and then he said, "Enjoy your dinner" and shut our door. Saying to myself, I felt like we were living the luxury life getting all of this special treatment. We got to Portofino Bay and walking all around trying to find Mama Della's.
A few minutes later we finally found the restaurant. We walk inside and it is quiet, dim light setting, and a good feeling kind of vibe. The host comes over to the door and escorts us to our table. A few minutes later the server comes over, placed the menu on our table, asked us what we want to drink. Ben and I both said, "Water please." The server smiled and nod his head while he walked away to get us water. He returned with water and bread then he took our order. Ben eating the bread, I decided I'd try it and see how my stomach will be able to handle it. Ben said, "So, feeling any better?" I said to him, "No, I still feel like crap." A few moments later, a tall, older, kind eye man holding a musical instrument came to our table. He asked us if we would like him to sing us a song. And Ben said, "Yes" then the gentleman asked, "Which genre? What language?" with a bright smile. Ben said with a smile while he holds my hand, "a love song in Italian please." He flashed a smile at us and the gentleman starts singing in Italian then he sang the same song again but this time in English. Once he got done, we clapped our hands and he took a bow. We talked to him for a bit getting to know that he is a super nice guy. Just a few later our food is here. The gentleman said, "You two love birds enjoy your dinner." We both said back while smiling, "Thank you for playing a song for us and we loved it. It was really nice." Then he said, "You're welcome" gave us a huge smile, waved his hand and left to go play at another table for a few other guests that just arrived. I said out loud with a smile, "Wow, that was fast!" Ben smiled and also said, "Yes, that was fast." The server smiled and said, "Yes we aren't too busy tonight. Enjoy your meal. Let me know if I can get you anything else." We dig in and I take a glimpse at Ben seeing him enjoy his food while I try to stomach mine. I took a few more bites then my stomach made me feel weird again and I stopped eating. I asked the server for the check please. He walked over, placed the check on the table. Ben paid the bill, and we left. I thanked the server for everything he did for us and apologized that I am usually a really good eater but it wasn't the food it was just me and we'd be back at another time where I will be feeling better. We left the restaurant trying to make our way back to the front desk.
Finally, we found the front desk! I walk up to the front desk and I asked if we can have a ride back to our hotel and informed her about how we can get rides to and from all of the Loews hotels. She nodded her head said, "Yep, I am calling right now." She hung up the phone and said, "If you'd like they will be right outside over here and you should see him." I thanked her and we walk outside. We wait, and a few minutes more we wait. Ten minutes later, our ride showed up. He's talking to us and we're having a good time. He drops us off at our front entrance of the hotel. We get out of the car and I said to the guy, "Thank you so much." He nod his head and said, "You're welcome, have a wonderful night you two." We walked up to our suite room, changed our clothes, and went to bed.
